The replacement coffee dispensing pump (see this item) also had to be:
- ultra-cheap as an injection moulding,
- highly accurate in terms of dispense volume,
- disposable,
- eligible to be patented, and
- capable of automated assembly.
The answer was yes.
Here is my design for a replacement device which was compatible mechanically and electrically with the existing system installed throughout the US.
