I became concerned that my 2006 BMW GS 1200 Adventure motorcycle was beginning to get a little too hot in traffic, during the Southern European summer.
The machine is old-school; being cooled by airflow and oil only. So, I sized and fitted an oil cooler fan, controllable by a handlebar switch.
This has worked flawlessly and removes enough heat to enable long periods of stop/start riding when I can’t filter due to my enormous paniers.
It has also survived some low-speed tip overs unscathed.
