Another tent structure augmented. My ongoing Audi TT garage remanufacrure project is housed in a folding tent (each end folds up to meet with a central arch and this allows access from both ends).
The whole thing is supported on metal arches such as C. Unfortunately, the fabric roof naturally forms ‘corries’ or low points in which rain gets trapped and would eventually lead to leaks.
To make the roof completely convex, I inserted hard plastic sheets, A, and a couple of tent poles, B.
The poles are braced to the central metal arch by a couple of metal tubes, D and the whole thing tightened up using various large zip ties.
Thus far there are no pools forming on the outer surface.
