I hacked together this portable microphone stand to allow interviews to be recorded at remote locations but without having to carry a giant springs-and-cage type tripod-mounted system.
It’s simply a plumbing pea trap from a sink unit with two holes carefully bored to allow the cable to penetrate without crimping itself.
